The first part of the Vaaja book series, titled “Suden hammas” (Wolf’s Tooth), is currently being finalized for publication. It is set for release in early autumn 2026, alongside the band’s self-titled debut album.

The book will be released simultaneously in Finnish — its original language — and in English translation, with audiobook editions in both languages available at the same time.

Malphas Miserable has been working on the piece for several years, finding the initial inspiration through a Finnish screenwriting competition. While the original script performed well in the contest, it wasn’t selected because, according to the director, it would have required “significant investment in special effects.”

Despite this, Malphas received plenty of encouragement to continue with the story. This journey has now culminated in the upcoming first book and the accompanying music Malphas composed for it.
